A Memoir for Tria

Dear Tria,

This coming December will be our 10th anniversary together. You have been a great and strong companion through out the years. Yes, we have our up and down, our mood swing but our bond never falter.

I remember the first time I decided to have you. It was in 1999, and I just started working. After 5 month of working the need to have you intensify. So, I have to persuade Abah to accept you as a part of my life. He was hesitant at first because he thought that you will be an additional burden to me, financially. But he saw your potential and alas he relented. Since then, we become inseparable.

You have taken me places all over Peninsular Malaysia. 254,400 km to be exact. You demonstrate your strength and you durability. You even get hurt because of my carelessness. All because I was too hungry to pay attention. Remember Temerloh Tria? Someone hit you at your right side and you were spinning 180 degrees. But you protect me well. I was unhurt externally but the impact did leave my body aching for a week. But I thank you nevertheless for being my protector.

Lately, I can sense that you are working extra hard every time we were traveling long distance. It isn't fair for your age. You serve me well Tria, and now it is your time to rest. Tomorrow you will not be by my side anymore. But don't worry dear as you will not be far. You'll be staying with Abah and Mak and I'll be seeing you on a daily basis. It is just that I won't be holding you as much as you would want me to. I am sorry.

I thank you Tria, for everything that you have done for me. You will always be in my heart. I am surely gonna miss you.
