Pasar Ramadhan and Big Apple

Today would be my fourth day in Penang. The best part of coming back here in Penang during bulan puasa is the food. So kena with my tekak. For the past 3 days, I've been roaming (mcm rimau lak bunyinye..) the nearby Pasar Ramadhan in Seberang Jaya. The choices are very the vast okeh. And everything look so yummy. My first day, I had this one dish called oval steak. It looks like a burger but the pate' is oval shaped and dip in a home made sauce. Next is the ever so famous mee goreng mamak. For sahur, I ate the nasi kandar, a must everytime I'm in Penang. Then yesterday, mom and dad went to the Pasar Ramadhan without me (too tired to join them) and they brought back various kuih that I haven't tasted for such a long time like the serabai and dangai. Funny name eh...but the taste is seriously delicious. The pakcik who sell these kuih still used the traditional way of making it. Nak describe...malas la pulak.

Last night, I was reading Ms Noba's blog and she mentioned about her son's craving for Big Apple. Coincidently, this morning after sahur while I was going through today's newspaper I saw a big advertisment on the new opening of Big Apple in Gurney. Wahhhh. So terbeliak one la my eyes. I want Big Apple also la like this. Then at the bottom of the advertisment they listed all the outlets in Penang and there is one in Aeon Seberang Prai. And do you know where is it guys? It is near PERDA. Muahahahahah. So near....even I can smell the sweet and tasty donuts from here (exaggeration melampau di sini ye..).*drool*
