Foot Solutions

So we went in Foot Solutions and we were greeted by this young chap. He offered to take the measurement for both of our feet but I declined initially. But then when the shop assistant(SA) mentioned about the 30% discount on selected sport shoes, I changed my mind. This shop did not usually offer discount..so I after checked the price tag....not much difference with other brands such as Nike, Adidas etc.

So I choose one design that I like and asked, "You got my size or not.....my feet very big". So the SA measured my feet and plus it with another 0.5. He checked the stock and there is one pair left....rezeki la kot. He taught me on the right way to tie the shoe lace. So i tried it and it fit perfectly. Then I asked if I can get a proper feet analysis before I decided to buy the shoes and he happily obliged. So the SA asked me to fill my details in an analysis form and he remeasured the size of both my foot. The he asked me to cat walk to see my walking/gait pattern. Then followed by a computer analysis of each foot to determine your foot pressure point, then another computer analysis to measured your feet arch. This is my test result.

The image is actually illustrating the pressure points. Did you notice the reddish area? It indicate high pressure on that area which is not good. A good image is when there is no red color on the image, it translate that you feet is well balance. When I did the arch test, I found out that the arch on my right foot is high whereas on my left foot it is medium. So to overcome the arch problem, the SA advised me to but the insole for my sport shoes. He inserted the insole in the shoes and asked me to walk around. Hmmm...comfortable. While I'm fussing over my sport shoes, the Branch Manager (I think laa..) Mr Khong came in with a friendly smile. He came and lepak with me and Zuly. Suddenly he asked me to stand up because he wanted to demonstrate the difference the insole made when inserted in the shoes. So I stand up and he asked to put both my hand at the back with the palms facing up. He then push the palm downwards and I didn't budge. So I said, what are you trying to prove? Probably I don't budge because I'm strong (kununnye....hehehe). Then he asked me to remove the insole and he will repeat the same movement and see what happen. So I removed the insole and I stand up at the same position. But to my surpise, this time when he did it (with only my hand)...I immediately budged. He explained that is because when I have the insole, the pressure on my feet was distributed evenly so I have a balance body. Without the insole, the pressure is only on the front of my feet which was why I can't balance myself and I budged. I'm more convinced to get the shoes and the sole.

Here, a tailor made sole will cost you around RM500 which of course I can't afford so I end up getting a ready made (much..much cheaper). This sole can be wore with other shoes but you need to ensure the other shoes has a suitable depth. According to Mr Khong, a ready made sole is okay for me coz my feet do not have much problem. He reminded me to maintain my weight or try to loose another 10 pounds. I asked why, he said because if you don't you'll end up having a flat feet which is bad. When you have flat feet, it is just like a car without absorber. So, a note to myself, loose 10 pounds!!!!

Mr Khong also help to solve Zuly problem with her right foot. He gave her a sort of small patch to be inserted in her shoes FOC. His not so exact sentence " We are not here to make money, but to help you with your problem". For Zuly, she'll be needing a tailor made insole coz she had a high arch on both foot. But of course not now. Need to pecah tabung ayam dulu....hehehe.

Mr Khong really know about foot and their problem and he's good...seriously. So, if you are looking for insole....go to Foot Solutions Alamanda. Try to get an appointment with Mr Khong. He'll give you the best advice. Don't worry, these people are not the pushy type.

So...this is my new sport shoes. Nak tido pon rasa nak pakai kasut....so comfortable.....

When your feet hurt, even the simplest task can be agonizing. Walking a yard may seem like a mile with a throbbing heel or toe.
